Alexandria Adamson is a songwriter and activist whose music is inspired by the traditions of Americana, Country and folk. Her music speaks to her life experiences as an Autistic, disabled trans woman; steeped in vulnerability, emotion and hope for change. Anthemic and lyrically raw, her music challenges societal expectations and norms, calling for a revolution in the way the world views under-represented and marginalised artists.

About
Alexandria is a Scottish musician and activist whose love of the arts was cultivated from an early age. She began her musical journey as a youngster on instruments like the fiddle, tin whistle, and bodhran, immersing herself in the rich traditions of folk music. Her talents soon expanded to include the guitar, piano and the exploration of various musical genres before finding a home in country music.
Vocally, Alexandria boasts a high mezzo-soprano range, refined through the Estill Voice training model. She also specialized in the ‘Singing and The Actor’ framework by Gillyanne Kayes and Jeremy Fisher, which blends her love of singing and acting seamlessly.
With a deep love for the performing arts, Alexandria ventured into acting, embracing the Method Actor approach to craft authentic and emotive performances on the stage and screen. These skills experiences combined with her musicality empower her to create captivating and memorable live performances.
Firm in the belief that art is a powerful vehicle for change, Alexandria is deeply committed to advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is an active member of the Musicians' Union of Great Britain & Northern Ireland, particularly in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion sector. She has also represented the LGBTQ+ Members Committee at the Trades Union Congress (TUC) LGBTQ+ Conference in 2014.

As the Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the Liverpool and Merseyside General Branch of Equity Union of Great Britain, Alexandria has tirelessly worked to promote inclusivity and accessibility within the performing arts industry. She has also partnered with organizations like Disabled Artists Networking Community (DANC), Triple C Theatre Company in Manchester, and Drake Music to champion the cause of disabled artists and promote diversity and inclusivity in the arts.
Committed to the advancement of her skills and knowledge, Alexandria diligently pursued her education and has obtained qualifications from institutions such as Southampton City College, Weymouth College, Coatbridge College, and John Wheatley College.
